About Erika

I am a Colorado native and have lived in Colorado Springs for 19 years. I originally came to Springs from Denver to study nursing at University of Colorado at Colorado Springs.

I had every intention of returning to Denver,
but I fell in love with a boy and the Pikes Peak views!
I am a Registered Nurse and before starting my business, I spent 13 years in healthcare. A majority of which I spent with patients and their families in hospice care.

I have married my best friend TWICE!
We originally wed on 9.10.11 in the library on the UCCS campus.
We renewed our vows in 2021 to celebrate our 10-year anniversary.
Together we have three amazing little ladies,
and we enjoy watching them grow in our forever home.

When I am not raising strong little women, planning weddings, or caring for patients you can find me reading children’s books, having game night with friends, or sewing dresses for my girls.

I have been planning weddings since 2010. Initially more of a hobby, my referrals were primarily from friends.
In summer of 2018, I coordinated a wedding for my best friend’s sister at Hillside Gardens in beautiful Colorado Springs.

I guess you can say that’s when it all really started.

The venue owner took notice of my efforts and he
invited me to join the team as their preferred wedding planner!

And I have been living a dream ever since…

I am often asked what I love most about wedding planning.
My first answer: The FOOD!
Food is my love language - especially brunch!!

The food may be awesome, but the people and
the special moments are what keep me coming back for more.

I love to hear the love story…
It always amazes me all the ways two people are brought together.

I love to make memories happen…
The mother of the bride helping her daughter into the dress.
The first look with dad.
Carving out 1:1 time for the couple in the timeline.
Making space to stop and soak it all in.

I love making connection…
For a brief moment I enter the lives of others and help create joy.
It is a gift to make an impact on others - I don’t take it lightly.
I am fortunate to have developed friendships that last beyond the wedding and enjoy keeping in touch to see how their story continues.
